Born and raised in Berlin, Billie moved to Munich to study Photography from 1999 until 2003.
In 2003, Billie moved to London and assisted well-known photographers including David Slijper and Nick Knight, whilst working as a digital operator. She has been a freelance photographer since 2009. Billie specialises in Beauty, Portraiture and Fashion, drawing her inspiration from old master paintings and sculpture. Her photography contains both traditional and modern notes, balancing technical precision alongside a beautiful, feminine vision.
Billie’s work has been published in Vogue Russia, Vogue Thailand, Czech Vogue, Vogue Ukraine, Vogue India, Vogue Hong Kong, Beauty Papers, The Edit, British Harpers Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Monopol Magazine, Sunday Times Style, POP and Numero.
Her commercial clients include Estee Lauder, Chanel, Max Factor, Clarins, Schwarzkopf, L’Oréal, Avon, Charlotte Tilbury, Pantene, Net-a-Porter, Allude, Wella, Maria Galland, Salon Science and Neal’s Yard.
Billie’s first book: “10 Minuten Make-Up”, with make-up artist Boris Entrup,
was published by Dorling Kindersley in January 2013.
Her second book: “Beautyschule”, with make-up artist Boris Entrup,
was published by Dorling Kindersley in January 2014.
Billie is currently working on a big portrait project, which includes portraits and interviews of living individuals that are considered champions/pioneers in their field.
